I’m Samreen Abid—an accountant by profession, but at heart, a creator, a dreamer, and a firm believer in the power of art to transform lives.
After taking a break from my professional career, I found myself searching for something that could not only satisfy my creative instincts but also bring value to others. That’s when I discovered the beautiful world of decoupage art. With every stroke, every texture, and every finished piece, I felt a sense of fulfillment I hadn’t experienced before.
And so, Diyar-e-Hunar came to life. Through Diyar-e-Hunar, I aim to create meaningful, handcrafted décor—pieces that aren’t just beautiful but serve a purpose. My mission, “Decoration with Purpose,” is more than just a slogan. It’s a reflection of the values I hold dear: creativity, intention, and impact.
But this journey is about more than just me. As a woman, I know the challenges of balancing personal responsibilities with professional aspirations. That’s why I’ve made it my goal to empower other women—especially those who, like me, have taken career breaks or are searching for a creative outlet. Whether it’s through workshops, collaborations, or simply sharing my journey, I want to remind women that their dreams are valid and achievable at any stage of life.
By using local materials and supporting small-scale suppliers and artisans, I’m also proud to play a small role in supporting Pakistan’s economy. Every product made at Diyar-e-Hunar contributes to a growing movement of women-led businesses that believe in sustainability, originality, and national pride.
This is just the beginning. And if my story can inspire even one woman to pick up her brush—or her courage—then I believe I’ve fulfilled my purpose.
