KARACHI: The Publican Alumni Association (PAA), in proud collaboration with the Regional Directorate FGEIs Karachi Region, FG Public and FG Minwala Public Schools, and Rotary International District (RID) 3271, has successfully conducted the INSET Programme 2025—a landmark teacher training initiative aimed at enhancing educational standards and empowering educators of our esteemed alma mater.
In today’s dynamic academic environment, teaching demands more than just subject expertise—it calls for innovation, adaptability, and a passion for lifelong learning. INSET 2025 was thoughtfully designed to meet this need, providing educators with modern pedagogical strategies, motivational insight, and practical tools to address the evolving challenges of the classroom.
The four-day workshop featured esteemed educationists and master trainers who brought with them decades of experience and a deep understanding of teaching excellence:

- Ms. Lubna Panjwani, Course Director/ Master Trainer, Chairperson, Rotary Training & Professional Development, RID 3271
- Ms. Huma Thaver, Master Trainer and Proud Publican
- Ms. Ana Haider, Course Coordinator and Trainer
Each day of the programme explored a critical theme in contemporary education:
- Day 1 – “Why I Am a Teacher” (Prof. Abbas Hussain): A powerful session on the moral and societal purpose of teaching, inspiring reflection and renewed commitment.
- Day 2 – Effective Lesson Planning (Ms. Huma Thaver): Practical strategies for crafting engaging and learner-centered lessons.
- Day 3 – Classroom Management & RWCT (Ms. Lubna Panjwani): Techniques for managing dynamic classrooms and cultivating critical thinking through Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking.
- Day 4 – Introduction to STEM (Ms. Ana Haider): Innovative methods for integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in everyday teaching.
The programme drew participation from over 30 male and female educators (SST/TGT/EST) from various FGEIs institutions across the Karachi Region. Their enthusiastic engagement reflected their passion for personal growth and their commitment to delivering high-quality education.
