ABU DHABI: Her Excellency Mariam Al Mehairi, Minister of State for Food Security, has recently visited Al Foah Company, a subsidiary of SENAAT owned by the Abu Dhabi Government, at its headquarters in Al-Sad district. Her Excellency she was received by H.E. Mr. Musallam Obaid Al Khales Al Ameri, CEO of Al Foah Company, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Ghanim Al Qesaili Al Mansouri, Deputy CEO of Al Foah Company, and a number of officials from the ministry and the company.
Her Excellency’s visit kicked off with a brief – via visual presentation – which showcased Al Foah Company’s most significant achievements both locally and globally. H.E. also visited the company’s call center, where the team works around the clock to attend to farmers, responding to their inquiries, receiving complaints and concerns. The call center team is also responsible for communicating new policies and regulations to the farmers as well as providing them with the necessary proposals and educating them on general processes.
Her Excellency and her delegation also paid a visit to Al Saad Dates Factory, one of Al Foah’s assets for date production. The visit to Al Saad factory took her Excellency through the different stages of dates production, starting from the first stage where dates are received and sorted, moving to the sterilization room where they’re sterilized before refrigeration and finally to the industrialization stage, which helps in the processing of dates through machinery, removing the kernels and turning them into paste or extracting the molasses.
Her Excellency expressed her pleasure to visit one of the most important national factories in the country, given the importance of its products and its reflection of the UAE’s folklore and history.
H.E. also praised the level of development shaping the national industry for luxury local dates and the modern technologies used in manufacturing them. H.E emphasized that these developments contribute significantly to our national identity and places the UAE high as a global player in the field.
Her Excellency also expressed her admiration for the entire process from modern technologies used in date sorting, production lines, factory’s washing and sterilization techniques as well as date production mechanisms and methods to ensure quality management.
She praised the level of progress achieved by the national efforts in various fields and sectors, including the industrial sector; as the factory is characterized by an excellent national environment, where dozens of sons and daughters of citizens working in production lines. In addition, H.E. stressed the need to contribute to the development of UAE dates products.
For his part, H.E. Mr. Musallam Obaid Al Khales Al Ameri, CEO of Al Foah Company, emphasized the company’s commitment to the industry: “Al Foah has dedicated its efforts to enhancing the presence of UAE dates in different countries of the world, as the export sales account for more than 90% of the date sales produced in the date factories of Al Foah, due to the high quality of UAE dates and the increasing demand of international markets.” Al Ameri stressed that Al-Foah is adopting modern marketing strategies that ensure a strong presence and wide spread of UAE dates in the countries of the world in a way that is suitable for its high quality and ensures an honorable appearance for the UAE’s luxury dates, pointing out that the UAE dates are exported to more than 45 countries from around the world.
H.E. Al Ameri praised the visit of the Minister of State for Food Security, which represents a great moral boost that reflects the keenness to follow up the development of the date industry in the country, which contributes to highlighting the national product identity locally and promoting its spread in international markets. He also stresses the keenness of Al Foah company to develop all the cooperation frameworks with the ministry in various fields in support of the state’s plan and vision, to fulfill the aspirations of the wise government, to redouble efforts and strengthen capacities in order to maintain achievements and move forward in the path of sustainable development. In addition, H.E. Al Ameri stressed the efforts of Al-Foah to achieve the desired goals, first and foremost to highlight the national identity of the UAE and every achievement reached by Al-Foah, as it is considered an achievement for the United Arab Emirates.
H.E. Mr. Mohammed Ghanim Al Qesaili Al Mansouri, Deputy CEO of Al Foah Company stressed: “The spread of UAE dates products reinforces the importance of the palm sector in the country as the main focus of Al Foah dates products, adding that any success achieved by the company is a success for this vital sector in the country, which has received the attention and support directly from the wise government. Mr. Al Mansouri also said: “The visit of Her Excellency comes within the framework of the partnership between the two parties, and stresses the Ministry’s keenness to follow up and support the leading factories in the country.
At the end of the visit, Mr. Musallam Obaid Al Khales Al Ameri, CEO of Al Foah Company and Mr. Mohammed Ghanim Al Qesaili Al Mansouri, Deputy CEO of Al Foah Company, thanked H.E.
