KUALA LUMPUR: As reported in The State of the Islamic Economy Global Report 2018/2019[1], Malaysia is currently leading in the global halal industry and is at the forefront of offering diverse halal products that cater to the needs and demands of consumers. Reneuf, the first halal venture of Jacques Cosmetics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, today came aboard the halal industry through the launch of its comprehensive range of halal face masks at the 16th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS).

Coincidentally the world’s largest halal event, MIHAS is a platform for some of the top names in the industry to network and showcase their products. This year’s showcase saw the participation of 1,000 companies from the cosmetics, e-commerce, finance, food and beverage, logistics, pharmaceuticals and tourism industries.

Chik Mun Leong, Marketing Director of Jacques Cosmetics said: “We are grateful for this platform MIHAS has offered us that helps cement Malaysia as the halal hub of the world. Driven by current consumer demand for halal cosmetics, we see a strong potential for the market to grow and are excited to contribute to this growth. To-date, the export value of halal cosmetics and personal care products stood at RM2.9 billion in 2017.

“As a proud Malaysian brand, we are focused in our efforts to provide Malaysians with products that are clean, safe, cruelty-free and do not contain ingredients derived from animal by-products.”

Made by incorporating the best of the Swiss formulation and research and development of Jacques Cosmetics, Reneuf offers a range of face masks that is specially made for discerning Asian Muslim consumers and beauty enthusiasts looking for quality products that are free from harmful ingredients.

Jacques Cosmetics is among many companies that have recently expanded their product offerings to address the growing demand for halal products. With the immense potential for growth in the halal beauty industry, it is hoped that through a Malaysian-born brand such as Reneuf, Malaysia can be placed at the forefront of the halal beauty industry.

Reneuf was first introduced in the Malaysian market in September 2018. To date, they have distributed over 50,000 face masks via a wide network of over 100 distribution points.

The range of Reneuf face masks consists of seven different variants, each developed to address various facial skin concerns, from dry and dehydrated to oily and acne-prone skin. Among the ingredients found in Reneuf face masks are squalene, colloidal gold and yam bean, all of which contribute to softer and smoother facial skin.

The face mask variants offered by Reneuf include: Extreme Hydrating & Moisturising Mask; Brightening & Moisturising Mask; Nourishing & Moisturising Mask; Whitening & Moisturising Mask; Lifting & Firming Moisturising Mask; Refreshing & Purifying Moisturising Mask and Antioxidant & Protection Moisturising Mask.

Reneuf is available at Alpro Plus Pharmacy, Isetan, Robinsons, Sasa, Sogo and selected pharmacies nationwide with a standard retail price of RM9.90 per mask.
