Gulf Air welcomes National Football Team at its headquarters

MANAMA: Gulf Air – the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain – today welcomed members of the Bahraini National Football Team to celebrate their victory in the title of the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup, where a huge celebration was held at Gulf Air’s Headquarters in Muharraq.

The ceremony was attended by members of the boards of Gulf Air and Bahrain Football Association and the national carrier’s staff, headed by His Excellency Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gulf Air and Minister of Industry, Commerce & Tourism, and His Excellency Engineer Kamal Bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transportation & Telecommunications. The event was also attended by Sheikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Second Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.

The celebration included Bahraini folk dance and traditional Bahraini food; where the National Carrier honoured the National Team players and presented them with gifts; as Gulf Air’s employees along with their children enjoyed taking photos with the national team players and the Cup.

Gulf Air’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Captain Waleed AbdulHameed Al Alawi delivered a speech at the ceremony, in which he expressed his appreciation and gratitude for this great sporting achievement that was dedicated to the leadership and the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition, Sheikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa, praised all the efforts made during the past years to achieve this great sporting achievement, thanking Gulf Air for their appreciation and honouring of the team for this achievement that every Bahraini citizen has been expecting for many years.
