Unique designs and exquisite craftsmanship attract record number of visitors to the Italian pavilion at VOD DIJS 2017

DUBAI: An exquisite selection of precious jewellery, watches, gifting items and accessories attracted a record number of visitors to the Italian pavilion organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) at VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show (VOD DIJS).

According to Gianpaolo Bruno, Trade Commissioner to the UAE, Oman and Pakistan at the Italian Trade Agency: “We have participated in VOD DIJS since its inception, and this year, we were pleased to welcome a record number of visitors to our pavilion. The exquisite collection displayed by the participating companies included a dazzling selection of the finest handmade jewelleryin gold, diamonds, pearls and precious stones,created by the best Italian craftsmen. The UAE, which is the second largest market for Italian jewellery exports, continues to attract interest from major players and boutique jewellery houses from Italy. VOD DIJS is the perfect platform for ambitious Italian jewellery companies to scout for opportunities to expand and showcase their creativity, innovation in technology and unwavering commitment to quality.”

ITA also organized a cocktail reception during the fair as a networking platform for the 29 companies participating at the Italian pavilion to make new contacts and explore different business opportunities in the region.

His Excellency Liborio Stellino, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE, officially opened the 300 m² Italian pavilion at this year’s VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show(VOD DIJS). He was joined by Valentina Setta, Italian ConsulGeneral and Gianpaolo Bruno, Trade Commissioner to the UAE, Oman and Pakistan at the Italian Trade Agency (ITA).
