Due to deficiency of protective gears required by doctors and paramedic staff, the chances of contract with virus are high for them. Pakistan starts producing its own protective gears to save the frontline soldiers of this war.
According to the Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, “There has been a huge shortage of face masks and PPEs ever since the coronavirus outbreak and now Pakistan can produce its masks, PPEs, and sanitizers”.
The Minister in his tweet said that Pakistan is now producing its face masks and personal protective equipment (PPEs) and got sufficiency to export sanitizers. According to Fawad Chaudhry, testing kits for the coronavirus and ventilators are also under testing.
With the self production of protective gears, now it is a hoped that medical and para-medical staff could gear up with good quality personal protective equipment which will reduces the chances of coronavirus cotract.
The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has surged to 8,175 along with a death toll of 167 and these numbers are now rising rapidly as the testing capacities of provinces are increasing allowing for more tests every day. However, there are over 1,868 people who have recovered from the coronavirus.
