DUBAI: The Dubai Chamber Sustainability Network Taskforce on Emiratisation recently organised a webinar in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which raised awareness about benefits and membership privileges provided to companies through the Tatween Gate, Tatween Partners Club, Emirates Job Bank and graduate trainee programmes.

The webinar, attended by Dubai Chamber Sustainability Network member companies representing a wide range of economic sectors, guided participants on the process of applying to the programmes, calculating Emiratisation percentages and other steps that companies can take to support ongoing Emiratisation efforts and the UAE’s transition to a knowledge-based economy.

During the virtual event, Noora Al Bodoor, Director of Coordination and Partnership, Ministry of Human Resource & Emiratization; Noura Al-Kindi, Head of Manpower Planning, and Ahmed Al-Janahi, Head of Emiratization Partners Department, provided an overview of the incentives and benefits of the Emiratisation program.

Al Bodoor explained that the ministry launched the Tatween Partners Club initiative with the aim of encouraging and motivating organisations to recruit and train UAE citizens looking for work in the private sector, and provide rewarding incentives to businesses that support Emiratisation.

Dr. Belaid Rettab, Senior Director, Economic Research and Sustainable Business Development Sector, Dubai Chamber, noted that the webinar falls in line with the Chamber’s strategic efforts to support the UAE’s Emiratisation drive and provide Emirati talent with opportunities to contribute to the national economy.

Rettab encouraged businesses to take advantage of the various incentives and privileges offered to them under the Tatween, adding that companies have a responsibility to prepare local talent by helping them build important skills required for a changing workforce.

Established by the Chamber’s Centre for Responsible Business (CRB), the Dubai Chamber Sustainability Network serves as the focal point for the business community to share and exchange best practices in implementing CSR and sharing sustainable best practices.

The Centre’s objective is to engage the Dubai business community in assuming greater responsibility for the emirate’s social and environmental needs. The Centre encourages Dubai Chamber members to implement responsible business practices that contribute to enhancing the performance of their organizations and their competitive capabilities.
