DUBAI: The Mango Women Pakistan (MWP) held its 1st Meetup, celebrating 1.2k members in six months at Lal Qila Restaurant on Sunday, 4th October, 2020. The event started off with a warm welcome by the hosts of the evening, Sara Khan and Jaweria Faheem (Gum bear bear), who are the co-founders of The Mango Women Pakistan. Followed by a peaceful discussion and the time for the members to interact with each other. One of the members commented, “I did not feel like I am in a gathering with strangers, rather it feels like the people of my own.”
The Mango Women Pakistan is an all women Facebook group comprising of many female entrepreneurs and empowering personalities. The founders are also entrepreneurs as well, where Sara Khan runs her own cake business, Cake City, Jaweria Faheem runs her clothing business, Gum Bear Bear. Along with the co-founders, Anoosha Hassan (content writer) and Rabbia Khan are the group moderators and helps keeping the group’s environment healthy and positive. The group focuses on women who are either an entrepreneur or an influencing personality, helping them by giving them an ultimate stage where they can not only showcase their talents but also have a great time and support from sisterhood. The group is a business/entertainment group.
After a brief discussion and interaction time for the members, cake cutting ceremony took place and the co-founders executed it happily, sponsored by Cake City, during which the members had a great laugh and pictures taken, followed by high tea at Lal Qila.
The event was sponsored by many renowned brands, such as Sanfaz Foods, Biz Today International, Ilham scents and soap, Bint-e-Adam make up, TheBlackInkSpilled (Content Writer), Cake City, Gum Bear Bear Clothing, and their products were given in a lucky draw in which all the members received the giveaways and were delighted.
The lucky draw was followed by a session of photography, and a speech on behalf of Sanfaz Foods. The event was not only successful but also a great experience for all the ladies and the group itself.
