Mr. Afzaal Adhia, Chief Executive Officer of Bombay Light house hosted introductory-meet of United Business Group (UBG) candidates contesting Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Elections 2021.
This introductory-meet for UBG candidates was a well-attended by UBG top brass including S. M. Muneer Patron in Chief, Zubair Tufail Secretary General, Hanif Gohar Coordinator Election Cell 2021, Faisal Zahid Malik Editor-in-Chief Pakistan Observer, Agha SirajDurani Speaker Sindh Assembly, Mustafa Kamal Chairman PSP, Mian Zahid Hussain Chairman NBG, Mirza Ikhtiyar Baig, Sheikh Umer Rehan, Shakil Ahmed Dehngra, A.K Memon, Anas Adhia, Samir Mir Shaikh, Naheed Masud along with a long distinguished list of UBG candidates for FPCCI 2021 Elections.
As per the rotation policy for the office of the president for the year 2021, the FPCCI president would be elected from Sindh and from Sindh UBG has nominated Khalid for Tawab President and Abdul Rauf Mukhtiar for Senior Vice President. List of nominations for Vice Presidents are Arif Yousuf Jeewa, Izharul Haq, Pervaiz Lala, Adeel Siddiqui, Haji Lali Shah, Muhammad Nawaz, Nasir Qureshi, Raja Muhammad Anwar and Sohail Mahmood Harral.
UBG patron in Chief S. M Muneer was very optimistic about the outcome of elections and he event predicted a clean sweep for UGB, he said; “our president will win by at-least 80%margin”.
Agha Siraj Durrani Speaker Sindh Assembly said; “as I see from here, right now Khalid Tawab is best choice for President of FPCCI. We have been taught to believe in dialogue. This has been taught to us by our leaders Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and current leadership”. He further stressed that; “dialogues can place anywhere and between anybody, it shouldn’t be meant just for politics, dialogues can happen in business as well”.
UBG’s nominated candidate for President, Khalid Tawab said; “it’s nice to know that Federal Government announced Karachi package, but sad part is that Business Community wasn’t taken on-board for Karachi Package”.Khalid Tawab further said; “after winning the elections, we assure you that FPCCI will play its due role for improvement and betterment of this city, this province and this country.
FPCCI Elections 2021 are slated to be held on 30th December 2020 at FPCCI House located in Clifton Block 05 next to Karachi’s iconic shopping mall by the name of Park Towers.
