KARACHI: Today, vaccines remain as one of the most powerful innovations in the history of medicine. The rapid development, approval and administration of not one but several safe and effective vaccines against COVID-19 is a triumph of science, and the Government of Sindh, Ministry of Health has been successful in turning the tide on the pandemic faced in Pakistan.

With COVID-19 Immunity Vaccination certificates becoming a mandatory requirement for any international travel, earlier this week, an MoU was signed between the Government of Sindh, Ministry of Health and Gerry’s International (Pvt.) Ltd. (Gerry’s Visa) to launch a Vaccination Centre, especially facilitating a large dose of Pfizer – BioNTech Vaccines for Pakistani students travelling to the United Kingdom and Australia (Ages 18+). Other World Health Organization (WHO) approved vaccines will be available for all Pakistanis travelling internationally. The Centre has been launched in accordance with the Sindh Government’s COVID–19 Immunity Vaccination Program. The Vaccination Centre will be operational from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, 7 days a week. The MoU signing was also followed by a ceremonial dinner at Avari Towers Karachi to commemorate the launch of the Vaccination Centre. The dinner was attended by Government of Sindh officials, management of Gerry’s International (Pvt.) Ltd., and a large Diplomatic presence of countries, namely, Japan, Indonesia, Russia, Iran, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, British, United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.
Students availing the Pfizer Vaccines have to book an appointment by dialing 051-8444794, and a Walk-in facility is available for other International Travelers. A customer will be facilitated with the vaccine and registered with NIMS, and can opt for other services such as a print out of their immunity vaccination certificate, with attestation & verification provided by Gerry’s International (Pvt.) Ltd. (Gerry’s Visa) and a courier service that enables the customer to receive their immunity vaccination certificate in just a matter of 24 hours, at a time and location of their choosing.
