DUBAI: A legendary violin virtuoso, successor of the legendary musical dynasty, Dmitry Sitkovetsky comes to Dubai to perform the famous masterpieces by Tartini, Grieg, Schubert and De Falla with the unique Stradivarius violin “Reifenberg” (1717).
A renaissance man and a magnetic creative force, Dmitry Sitkovetsky has made a considerable impact on every aspect of musical life and has been successful as a performer and facilitator for over four decades. Dmitry Sitkovetsky is an artist whose creativity defies categorizing. He has built up an active and successful career as a violinist, conductor, arranger, chamber musician, and festival director.
Mr. Sitkovetsky has performed as a soloist with a number of the world’s leading orchestras including the Berlin, New York, and LA Philharmonic Orchestras, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Concertgebouw Orchestra. He has performed at a number of high-profile festivals including Salzburg, Lucerne, and Edinburgh to name a few.
Mr. Sitkovetsky has worked with a diverse range of artists such as Marta Argerich, Yuriy Bashmet, Evgeniy Kissin, Misha Maisky, Denis Matsuev, Vadim Repin, and Shchedrin.
