KARACHI: Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) NUST Karachi Campus organised the Olympiad 2018 from February 22-25 in which contests in 11 sports disciplines were conducted. Teams from all over the city were invited to participate in it. The event was closed by chief guest Samir Mir Shaikh, Chairman of Higher Education, Science and Technology FPCCI.
As many as 1200 sports enthusiasts from 61 colleges and universities participated in the Olympiad.
Iqra University was given the “Best Delegation Award”.
The Olympiad comprised events of cricket, futsal, basketball, squash, badminton, table tennis, e-gaming, chess, throwball, volleyball and tennis.
The Olympiad inspired both the participants and spectators and helped them build physical stamina, while teaching them to take victories and defeats in their strides as important lessons of life. The event gathered such sponsors as Nike, Nibble Studios and Heisen Burgers. Sports Desk
