In response to the flood disaster in Pakistan, on 5th September 2022, Consul General of Indonesia in Karachi, Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat along with his wife Mrs. Ani June Kuncoro Hadiningrat and there Consulate’s staffs, have made a visit to Relief Camps at Gulshan-e-Hadeed, District Malir.
The visit was welcomed by the Camp administrator, Mr. Yanshad Ali, Assistant Commissioner of Bin Qasim Interchange, who directed them to oversee the conditions in the camp which accommodates around 100 families who are victims of flood-disaster. Most of them coming from interior Sindh, such as Larkana and others.
During the visit, Consul General Dr. June Kuncoro handed over packages of aid from the Consulate and Indonesian communities in Karachi, as a gesture of sympathy and tolerance to the Pakistani people. Mr. Yanshad Ali expressed his high appreciation to the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi for the initiative taken by the Karachi.
Indonesia and Pakistan, as two brotherly nations and two biggest Moslem countries, remain supporting each other since their independence era and will always push forward initiatives to strengthen relationship between their people.
