I am Chef Asma Aamir, 35, and I am proud to share my success story with all of you. My journey began with a passion for cooking and a determination to turn that passion into a successful career. I belong to a Gujrati family who is famous for their versatile cuisine. My love for food began at a young age, as I spent countless hours in the kitchen watching my mother and grandmother cook traditional Pakistani and Gujrati dishes. I am fascinated by the different spices and ingredients used to create complex and delicious flavors. Thanks to my Mama, who always bore my creativity with an open heart.
Being a mother of a wonderful 12-year-old son, I now understand that I must tolerate mess and chaos to nurture my child’s creativity.
I am the first person in my family who got a professional degree and got a chance to pursue a dream career. Otherwise, in our culture, it’s hardly acceptable for women to have a career because they think it is tough to manage both. But thanks to the unwavering support of my family, I have found the perfect balance between my work and personal life. Otherwise, pursuing my culinary career is nearly impossible as it requires hard work, sleepless nights, and dedication.
I completed my Graduate Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management from the College of Tourism and Hotel Management in Karachi, Pakistan. Before that, I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from Karachi University. My love for food led me to pursue a culinary degree. I participated in several cooking competitions and TV shows to further enhance my skills.
One of my biggest accomplishments was winning a Gold Medal in the Food Championship 2019, as well as the First Prize in the cooking competition at the Rangoonwala Center. I also hold several certificates, including the Food Champ Pakistan 2019, Rising Chef Competition 2019, IBA International Women’s Day, and High Field Level 3.
My passion for cooking and my dedication to my craft have earned me recognition on various platforms. I was featured on Masala TV’s popular show, Lively Weekends, where I showcased my culinary expertise. I was also invited to a Live Session on Daraz with Fresh Street and Amazing Chef 2022. I am now the proud owner of an online food business called FOODACTIVE. You can check my Facebook: foodactive and Instagram page: foodactive.pk.
My specialties include Frozen foods such as Kebabs, Cutlets, Rolls, Samosa, and Kid’s lunch box items. I also take pre-orders for Freshly baked Pizza, Customized Cakes for birthdays, weddings, and Desi Food.
I am sharing a few pictures of my work, including Customized cake, Mouthwatering Arabic Mandi, and freshly baked Pizza.
My success story is a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of my family. As a woman in the food industry, I am determined to inspire other women to follow their passion and achieve their dreams. I firmly believe that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible, and I am grateful for every opportunity that has come my way.
