Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized a press conference regarding the two-day “Pakistan Literature Festival 2023” (Sukkur Chapter) at Haseena Moin Hall. Event will organize with the collaboration of IBA Sukkur. President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Ahmed Shah, well-known journalist Ghazi Salahuddin, well-known writer Noor Ul Huda Shah and chairman of Folk and Heritage Committee Dr. Ayub Sheikh gave the briefing. Speaking on this occasion, President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmad Shah said that the media covered the biggest theater festival in the history of Pakistan, which brought a positive face not only to Pakistan but also to the whole world, which is commendable.
He said that the institutions of Pakistan have not succeeded in doing their work, billions of rupees are being spent on these institutions but nothing is being done, all the cultural institutions of Pakistan should work together. I don’t like that Arts Council Karachi should work and others don’t, we are receiving requests from Hyderabad, Multan, Skardu, Gwadar and other cities that when will you come to our city, he said that Arts Council Karachi is the capital of Sindh, Arts Council Organized Pakistan Literature Festival in Lahore and Kashmir Now we are going to conduct Pakistan Literature Festival in Sukkur on 28th and 29th October, we visited Sukkur and we found IBA best for PLF, he said Therefore, Sukkur has become more active than us.
Federal and provincial ministers and academic and literary personalities from all over Pakistan will participate in this festival. Ahmad Shah said that we have focused a lot on education. various personalities including the chancellors of universities have been invited, government schools and their educational standards will be discussed, the economic situation of Sindh in the Pakistan Literature Festival, changes in media trends, 100 years of the discovery of Mohenjo Daro, Sindhi literature. There will be various sessions on the Sindh social Landscape, Issues and challenges Art, architecture, design and heritage of Sindh, book launch, Mushaira, and discussions. Prominent actors such as Mustafa Qureshi, Munawar Saeed, Asim Azhar, and Tehzeeb Hafi will participate in discussions during the festival. Additionally, Farhan Alam Siddiqui’s theater play “Taleem Balighan” will be featured.
The festival will also showcase performances by renowned artists like Asim Azhar, Saif Samejo, Wahab Bugti, and Sound of Kolachi . Well-known writer Noor Ul Huda Shah while speaking said that I hope the Pakistan Literature Festival in Sukkur will bring better results, it will bring awareness and mental maturity to us, language and heart are needed to connect with the earth. We are only divided into political likes and dislikes, we all want our favorite leader on the chair, he said that a session has been held to discuss the loss of human lives in the floods, with this Festival , a new era will start which will give awareness along with politics, I invite everyone to definitely participate in this festival, She said that not only our institutions have been destroyed, education has also been affected, conscious minds will be taken to the people, despair is not a cure, the doors of dialogue should be opened, the work that no one is doing is being done by the Arts Council Karachi, Ghazi Salahuddin said that the current situation is different from this kind of festival.
