KARACHI: Mr. Faraz ur Rehman, President of the Karachi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) and Chairman of the Pakistan Business Group Organization (PBGO), has announced his early retirement from both positions due to his other commitments.
Addressing the media during a press briefing, Mr. Rehman expressed his concern about the current economic challenges, stating, ‘I am very disheartened with the current economic situation; people are not able to afford even their bread.’ He emphasized that Karachi is a crucial asset and urged the national leaders to preserve its integrity for the collective benefit.
During his tenure, Mr. Rehman asserted that he dedicated his efforts to uplift all citizens of Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of unity, faith, and discipline in overcoming challenges. He highlighted that adherence to Quaid-e-Azam’s vision is crucial for the nation to navigate through crises successfully.
In an open invitation, Mr. Rehman extended his support to his associates, stating, ‘My doors are open for all my loved ones, wherever I can help them without any position, I will.’
Furthermore, Mr. Rehman nominated Ms. Nighat Awan as the President to complete the remaining term at KATI and appointed Mr. Farhan ur Rehman as the Chairman and Patron In Chief of the Pakistan Business Group Organization.
Mr. Rehman expressed gratitude for the continuous support received and thanked everyone for their unwavering commitment.
