Dubai Duty Free announced the 230th Indian national to have won US$1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion at a draw held today at Concourse D of Dubai International Airport.
Mr. Chimalakonda Krishna, an Indian national based in India became a US$1 million winner in Millennium Millionaire Series 462 with ticket number 1795, which he purchased online on 8th May.
Mr. Krishna who is the 230th Indian national to have won the Millennium Millionaire promotion since 1999 is currently uncontactable but will no doubt be surprised when he learns of his newfound wealth.
Today’s draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free Chief Operating Officer, Ramesh Cidambi, Salah Tahlak, Joint COO, Dr. Benard Creed, SVP – Finance, Sinead El Sibai, SVP – Marketing, Mona Al Ali, SVP – Human Resources, Michael Schmidt, SVP – Retail, Sharon Beecham, SVP – Purchasing and Zayed Al Shebli, SVP – Loss Prevention & Corporate Security.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw was conducted for three luxury vehicles.
Mr. Henry Paul, a 55-year-old Indian national based in Dubai won a Mercedes Benz S 500 (Obsidian Black Metallic) car with ticket number 0514 in the Finest Surprise Series 1879, which he purchased online on 14th May.
A resident of Dubai since 1999, Mr. Paul has been a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for 15 years now, is a father of two and works as a general manager for a multi-national company in the medical industry.
“I’ve been buying tickets for a long time, but I never lose hope. I knew one day I’d be lucky, and that is now! Thank you, Dubai Duty Free, for this wonderful opportunity!” he said.
While Mr. Ebrahim Al Nuaimi, an Emirati national based in the UAE won a Mercedes Benz G 63 (Polar White) car with ticket number 1236 in the Finest Surprise Series 1880, which he purchased online on 20th May.
Mr. Al Nuaimi was also not available for immediate comment.
Lastly, Mr. Ajasmon K.S., a 36-year-old Indian national based in Sharjah won an Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory 1100 (Time Attack) motorbike with ticket number 1044 in the Finest Surprise Series 582 which he purchased online on 13th May.
A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for 5 years now, Mr. K.S. is a father of one and works as sales executive for a cleaning and hygiene industry in Ajman.
“Thank you so much, Dubai Duty Free. The money that I will get when I sell this bike is very helpful for my family as we start to build our future in Kerala,” he said.
