Karachi Marriott Hotel adds another feather in its cap with Malaysian National Day Reception

DUBAI/KARACHI: The Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi hosted a grand dinner reception to commemorate the 67th Anniversary of Malaysias Independence (Malaysian National Day). This grand reception was held at Karachi Marriott Hotel on 30th September 2024. Malaysian Independence Day also known as ‘Hari Merdeka’, is celebrated on 31st August each year.

Apart from enjoying the finest form of Malaysian hospitality, events hospitality-partner Karachi Marriott Hotel also didnt lack behind with spot-on and flawless services starting from the dimly-lit entrance at the front-foyer-area, to main-event-hall i.e. Crystal Ballroom and then to side-foyer-area where dinner was served. Ambiance creation was top-notch and created some excellent memories.

Mr. Raza Abbas, General Manager of Karachi Marriott Hotel shared his thoughts by saying; we at Karachi Marriott Hotel take pride in delivering world-class hospitality and todays event is a true reflection of our dedication in creating memorable experiences”.

Some of the other tangible steps taken by Mr. Raza Abbas can be removal of carpet from the floors and replacing them with white marble which gives a very neat and clean look to the floors, toilet renovations, removal of plastic bottle, changes in uniforms of F&B Team especially for waiters, servers etc. and to add further value to their appearance, very neat and clean looking white gloves are added.

Food & Beverages department was also on it toes during the entire event, where guests were treated to an exquisite culinary experience with some exclusively chosen Malaysian cuisines like ‘Beef Rendang’ being the best of the lot with very authentic and original taste followed by closely by chicken with percik sauce and Malaysian Spaghetti/noodles. Malaysian Deserts like Rice Pudding and pisang goreng were also treat for desert lovers.

Side-Foyer Area seemed like a buffet of a fine-dining restaurant with main-courses in centre and dedicated veggies/salad bar with sauces and condiments on either side. Desert bar was no less intriguing, but the most exciting part was ‘pisang goreng station, where deep-fried bananas were being prepared live in front of the guests and were served with various topping. All of this was done by able team of chefs of Karachi Marriott Hotel.

The event concluded on a high note, with attendees enjoying the hospitality of the Malaysian Consulate while celebrating the shared values of friendship and cooperation between Malaysia and Pakistan. As the evening drew to a close, guests were left with a sense of appreciation for both the celebration of Malaysias rich culture and the Karachi Marriotts unparalleled service, reinforcing its position as a premier venue for high-profile events in the city.
