Karachi Women Entrepreneur celebrates Pinktober Women’s Festival Season 2

KARACHI: On Saturday, October 26, the Karachi Women Entrepreneur Group by Shama Rashid, in collaboration with National Foods, celebrated the Pinktober Women’s Festival Season 2 at KMC Sports Complex, Kashmir Road. This event aimed to raise awareness among women about the growing risks of breast cancer, emphasizing early diagnosis, treatment, and preventive measures. In addition, it focused on various aspects of women’s health, including mental well-being, physical health, yoga, diet, and fitness, through interactive sessions.

Dr. Samiya Asif provided comprehensive awareness on breast cancer, discussing preventive strategies and the importance of regular screenings. Dr. Fizza Yasmin covered mental health, highlighting how it impacts overall well-being. Fitness experts Yogini Hina and Sadaf Iqbal shared insights into yoga and fitness practices. Dr. Tasneem Kausar and Humaira Naz spoke on women’s physical health and natural healing methods. Additionally, Aneela Razaq shed light on the vital role of mothers in parenting.

The event was hosted by Shama Rashid, along with her team members Fareeha Azmat, Hira Danish, Huma Rani, Erum Adil, and Bushra Asad, who warmly welcomed all distinguished guests and expressed heartfelt gratitude. The festival also included a cooking competition and featured stalls set up by women entrepreneurs. Medical services, including free camps, were provided by Chughtai Lab and Tison Medical Services.

Notable guests such as Shahida Shoaib Rizvi, Asma Ali Shah, Yasmeen Hashmani, Dure Shehwar Nisar, and many other prominent figures graced the event. The ceremony concluded with a firm resolve to collectively work towards the prevention of breast cancer in Pakistan, aiming for early detection and effective treatment for all.
