DUBAI: Union Coop recently hosted an official Jordanian delegation, comprising heads of departments and companies, specialists in general trade, and independent entrepreneurs. The visit aimed to explore potential collaboration between the two parties. The delegation presented their companies’ services for the retail sector and examined the international retail practices followed by the Cooperative, including methods of food and product sourcing.
The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop; Mr Niels Groen, Chief Commercial Officer; Ms. Huda Salem, Senior Communications Manager; and several Cooperative staffs.
The visiting delegation included Asem Ababneh, Consul General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbir, Chairman of the Amman* and Jordan Chambers of Industry, along with members of the Chamber’s Board and representatives of Jordanian industrial companies. During a discussion session organized by the Cooperative at its headquarters in Al Warqa City Mall, both parties explored future commercial cooperation opportunities.
The delegation learned about the key services Union Coop offers to its shoppers, which includes best practices in food retail, delivery, customer satisfaction services, expansion strategies, and digital retail solutions. They were also introduced to the Cooperative’s retail culture and shared insights about notable Jordanian products and local industries.
Consul General Asem Ababneh expressed gratitude to the Cooperative for the warm reception and the opportunity extended to the Jordanian delegation to explore future avenues. He praised the Cooperative’s product and supply chain processes and the advanced sourcing techniques that create prospects for future cooperation, as Union Coop serves as a global platform for a wide variety of products.
