KARACHI: A three-day single country Thailand Exhibition eyeing to enhance existing US$d1 billion bilateral trade and expecting around 50,000 visitors from all walks of life will be opened on 1st September 2018 at Pearl Continental Hotel Karachi.
President Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry Muffasar Atta Malik will inaugurate the event as chief guest along with H.E Suwat Kaewsook, Consul General Royal Thai Consulate-General Karachi and Suebsak Dangboonrueng, Director Thai Trade Centre, Dhaka, Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government.
The exhibition is organized by Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government with the support of Royal Thai Consulate-General Karachi and being managed by Event and Conference International Pvt. Ltd.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Arif Suleman, Honorary Trade Advisor to Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government informed that the exhibition will accommodate 50 companies with more than 10 categories of products including hardware, car paint, machinery/rice mill, food & beverage, household products, water purification, home textile products, footwear, health & beauty products, medicine & herbal products, motorbike parts, party accessories, jewelry cleaner, electrical appliances.
He said that this exhibition is a distinctive effort of the Department of International Trade Promotion, Royal Thai Government to expand opportunities to the business communities of both countries, which will consequently strengthen the economical relations.
There is an immense potential in trade between two countries and trade has increased to 1 Billion US dollars approximately within few years. This event will provide opportunities to business communities from both countries to enhance this trade further. Major Export from Pakistan to Thailand is yarn & fibers, chemicals, finished oils, edible meat etc. Main import from Thailand is household products, food items, beverages, medicines, cosmetics, herbal products, motorcycles & auto parts, rubber products etc, Arif Suleman added.
