DUBAI: dnata, one of the first aviation companies of the UAE, is proud to celebrate the success story of the industry on the occasion of UAE Civil Aviation Day.
dnata was founded in 1959 by the late HH Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum as part of his vision to establish a thriving aviation industry. Since then, the company has been handling all passenger and cargo traffic at Dubai International Airport and, since 2010, also at Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central.
Throughout its history of nearly six decades, dnata has constantly pursued innovation and best practice, investing in its people and new technologies to support the growth of Dubai as an aviation hub, and significantly contributing to the development of the industry which plays a key role in the country’s economic success story.
dnata now provides quality and reliable air services to a total of 129 airlines operating from the UAE. Every day, dnata’s dedicated employees assist over 250,000 passengers, manage 1,160 aircraft movements, move 1,970 tons of cargo and prepare 13,000 inflight meals in the country.
