KARACHI: With Bilal Abbas Khan’s much-awaited upcoming drama ‘Cheekh’ all set to air on 5th January, 2019, Bilal is ready to play a negative role for the very first time.
There were many speculations around Bilal Abbas Khan and Saba Qamar’s on-screen love pair in “Cheekh” however, the teasers tell a different story, where we see the young and versatile actor showing a really dark side on screen.
“It’s important to stand up against harassment and raise our voice against it. My character is extremely powerful, different and something I really did not expect to play this early in my career – that too with the names like Saba Qamar & Badar Mehmood associated with it.”
“My primary reason for signing this project was to raise awareness in our society that such incidents regularly occur around us and we cannot and should not let them be pushed under the rug – speaking up against all evil is our basic right.”
Bilal Abbas Khan made his acting debut with hit TV serial, ‘Dumpukht’ – and has since then gotten positive reviews for all his diverse roles in hit TV plays like ‘Qurbaan’ opposite Iqra Aziz, ‘O Rangreza’ alongside Sajal Aly and ‘Balaa’ with Ushna Shah.
Cheekh is produced by Fahad Mustafa and Dr. Ali Kazmi under the banner of Big Bang Entertainment and directed by Badar Mehmood. It is scheduled to go on air on ARY Digital on every Saturday at 8p.m. from 5th January.
